For some years now we’ve been discussing globalisation under various aspects.
As to the issue of education there are fundamental open questions:
o What is leadership, and can it be taught?
o How do young people become reponsible citizens in a globalized world?
o Parents are concerned that their child lacks motivation or is underachieving.
o How do students go through the application process if they want to study abroad?
o How does it work to make a transition from liberal arts to the business world if you have graduated from college?
o Which advanced studies meet my goals? Law, Master’s, MBA or PH.D. degree?
Young people and their parents might need some professional help.
Dr. Corcoran has a lot of experience from the university side in US, UK and other parts of Europe and she keeps up to date
with what’s new in admissions at colleges and universities.
Of course it is an issue whether we talk about education in developed or less developed countries in a globalized world. In
keeping with the mission of Zonta, the speaker will be happy to questions about special issues for girls and women during the
discussion.
We should use this opportunity to talk about all those subjects.
There will be a little surprise for native speakers of German to improve their English.
